On May 29, 2025, at 09:29 UTC, we received notification that CloudWorks™ integrations weren't finishing as expected. This issue affected eu1: Anaplan Data Center - Netherlands.
We reviewed the infrastructure and proceeded with a restart of the underlying service components. We started to see integration jobs complete at 09:53 UTC. All integration jobs were completed by 10:01 UTC, and full service was restored.
We have completed an analysis of the circumstances leading to the incident. In November 2024, several improvements were made to the resource allocation for the CloudWorks service. Since then, the number of integration jobs has increased by around 25%, leading to increased load on platform resources.
On the morning of the incident, around 06:30 UTC, a large number of integration jobs started. Although these jobs were completed, the processing time gradually increased. Processing time continued to increase for subsequent integration jobs until the jobs stopped processing around 09:29 UTC.
To prevent this from happening again, we’re increasing resource allocation to the service. We’re also implementing monthly reviews to assess the service and proactively increase resources if we see usage continue to grow.
