On August 4, 2025, at 10:16 UTC, we received alerts indicating general platform degradation. This issue impacted: eu2: Data Center - Germany. During the incident, customers may have experienced general slowness or received 4xx or 5xx errors when attempting to access or navigate the platform.
We quickly identified that the errors were related to issues at the network layer. Our network engineers conducted a thorough investigation and confirmed that the platform’s network was operating correctly. During the investigation, we discovered that an upstream network vendor was experiencing issues affecting their data centers in Germany.
As the Anaplan platform itself was healthy, we concluded that the errors were caused by the vendor disruption. We continued to monitor the platform, and full service was restored at 10:54 UTC.
We have now completed an internal review of the incident and are working with the vendor to understand the full root cause of the issue they experienced. In parallel, we’re revising our internal procedures for identifying and triaging potential upstream issues.
We apologize for any impact this issue may have had on your business operations. We’re continuously strengthening our systems and procedures to help prevent future disruptions to your business.
